There you can put some feedback on his articles, including what otherwise get edited out for NPOV. 71.191.189.240 ( talk) 19:38, 14 May 2014 (UTC)
'Nuff said as to why; there are other reviews on other issues that should also be included, and even in this case only one viewpoint/critique was placed; clearly a POV diatribe and unsuitable unless a wide range of issues and viewpoints is presented; i.e. a summary of Glavin's politics, with POV criticism built into the additions (as was the case here) Skookum1 21:31, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
While I don't see the reaction to Glavin's Georgia Straight column irrelevant, I think it wrong to single out one voice, particularly that of someone best known as "a Vancouver-area teacher of media and communications" and not necessarily better known than his other detractors. Victoriagirl 02:02, 26 September 2006 (UTC) == Unreasonable that Victoria girl monitors this page so closely. Indicates probable personal relationship with Glavin.
I've just reverted an edit referring to two recent Glavin articles. The sentence in question - "In April and May 2007, his articles smearing the anti-war movement appeared in two newspapers owned by CanWest Global, the Ottawa Citizen and Vancouver Sun." - appears to run against Wikipeidia's WP:NPOV policy. That said, I believe the articles in question may be relevant to the entry. As it stood, the statement appeared biased and vague (which articles? when were they published?). I remember this paper's name as The Columbian - was it changed in its last days? Funny, as in its final hours it was a weekly.....as a side note, it's the paper founded by Amor de Cosmos (or John Robson?) as The British Columbian. Skookum1 ( talk) 14:08, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Hi Everybody. Terry Glavin here. It has been brought to my attention that the Wikipedia page about me is way out of date (i.e. the Canada Afghanistan Solidarity Committee - haven't been associated with it for years and i believe it more or less folded up a couple of years ago anyway), and in any case seems a bit odd ("In 2006, Glavin came under fire" etc). I've written two books since the Last Great Sea, which is mentioned, which are not mentioned in the bio (except in the bibliography, true enough). Anyway, here's a fairly recent bio; it's the UVIC page from when I was teaching a lecture course on George Orwell in 2011. http://finearts.uvic.ca/writing/faculty/glavin/ At the time I was just wrapping up teaching in the MFA Creative Writing program at UBC (not mentioned in the Wikipedia pagee, either). Perhaps the main thing it doesn't contain is that I've been writing a regular column for the Ottawa Citizen since 2011. Here's my bio on the Ottawa Citizen website, with some recent columns: http://www.ottawacitizen.com/columnists/Terry_Glavin.html .
