McLane Group does not own McLane Company. McLane Company (founded by Drayton McLane Sr.) was well run by Drayton McLane Jr.. There is another Wikipedia article that describes all of this. Drayton McLane sold the company to WalMart and it is now owned by Berkshire Hathaway. McLane Group is the company that Drayton McLane company started after selling McLane company was the parent company over the Houston Atsros and now sells several specialty foods. But McLane Group is not McLane Company's primary stakeholder. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.100.96.146 ( talk) 05:53, 14 February 2015 (UTC)
Should we start a section on health care, considering S&W is nationally recognized, A&M has a school of medicine and the VA? I'm sure there could be enough to fill it out. Joe I 04:30, 16 November 2005 (UTC)
Maybe mention that there is no "Scott White nursing home"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.228.200.149 ( talk) 11:46, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
Yes, that sounds like a good idea. — C M B J 21:44, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
There needs to be a detailed explanation of the (now defunct) electric rail system in downtown Temple. — C M B J 21:45, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
As a long time fan of King of the Hill, I really don't see any clear evidence that Arlen is actually based on Temple. Yes, on maps, it occasionally appears to be close to the location of Temple, but there is a lot of evidence that also points to Arlen not being an actual location. The Hills' mail shows zip codes in Austin and Beeville, the distance to major cities sometimes varies from episode to episode, the population seems to be quite a bit smaller than Temple's actual population. In short, I think that it's very hard to present evidence that Temple is actually the basis for Arlen and as such, I don't think this info should be included in the Temple, TX wikipedia entry.
Bill Engvall is from Georgetown, I am about 99% sure. But I am not confident enough in this fact to delete him from the famous people list. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.178.72.160 ( talk) 03:22, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
The URL source for "Bryan Burroughs" does not list his hometown. This needs to be fixed or removed. Jaime Alan Canava and Priscilla Garza do not appear to be "notable" people. They will be removed if nobody can source this. JW in TX 02:28, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
Is "Dimples from down in Temple" one of the Exes who live in Texas? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.178.168.179 ( talk) 04:49, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
I removed a number of images from this article, not because they weren't pretty but because they crowded the text and didn't add value. If the article becomes longer, and sections are expanded to adequately cover the subjects of the images, it would be appropriate to return them. It's still visually a mess but I wanted to be judicious in my removals.--~ T P W 15:18, 16 November 2011 (UTC)
