To add to this article: mention of the term "tang fei" (躺匪, literally "lying flat bandit"), a derogatory variant of "tang ping." 204.11.186.190 ( talk) 17:30, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
I tried to trim the See also section to a reasonable size, as did another editor. However it's recently been restored to over 15 links which seems like a lot. The guideline on this section says that links offered should be "relevant and limited to a reasonable number". I think it would be reasonable to include terms that are directly related, especially related to Asian culture, but not broad categories like "Economic mobility" and "Housing stress". ☆ Bri ( talk) 16:33, 6 March 2024 (UTC)

Hi friends, I'm attempting to add other terms and concepts that are similar to lying flat, like "quiet quitting", "sampo generation" and "the freeter", to serve as an extension to help people understand lying flat in other context. Is this okay for everyone? looking forward to your reply! Lulululucy123 ( talk) 19:15, 18 April 2024 (UTC)
Hi since we created a new section "similar concepts", we moved the "quite quitting" concept from the introduction part to the new section. It is fine to delete the "quite quitting" part in the introduction? Scl1234 ( talk) 19:52, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
