TNA Impact! was a good articles nominee, but did not meet the
good article criteria at the time. There may be suggestions below for improving the article. Once these issues have been addressed, the article can be
renominated. Editors may also seek a reassessment of the decision if they believe there was a mistake.
Changed the name, the show is bring referred to as "Monday Night iMPACT!" now.

Various moves
As we can see from the history of this page and talk page alike, as well as the moves made to
the company's page, there has been a flurry of activity in response to Mick Foley's announcement. It looks like
User:ArcAngel made a correct-looking move when he updated
TNA Impact! to
Impact! Wrestling. After this,
User:LTC. K-O Capt made 3 changes in sequence, to
Impact! TV,
Impact (TV Show), and finally
Impact! (TV Show). I find this a bit disruptive to be honest. I'd like to apologize for a misunderstanding, I posted to AA's talk thinking he had done the "TV Show" since he mentioned updating this on the company talk page, not knowing there had been other changes made.
I propose, for now, we either revert to
Impact! Wrestling, or to be even more concise, simply
Impact! redirects here already and covers the past and present very well. The only thing is, I can't use the move function to move to a page we've already used, so we will need to do a vote for a moveTo and get the help of a moderator of Wikipedia to make this transition while making the history. Much like the company, this will be troublesome and hopefully someone can assist us.
The following is a closed discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the proposal was
{{
Requested move/dated|Impact!}}Impact! (TV Show) → Impact! – Relisted.
Vegaswikian (
talk) 05:42, 20 May 2011 (UTC) I think this is simplest to avoid all this hassle, Impact! is the core name of the show which has not changed, and it covers the past and present incarnations quite well. Whether we call it "TNA Wrestling Impact" or "TNA's Impact Wrestling" doesn't make a huge difference, "Impact" is the clear identifiable name, and it the only notable promotion that uses an exclamation mark.

On May 13 a couple hours after I posted the previous, Anthony Apple resolved this with
this move, based on watching another episode it seems clear that "Impact Wrestling" is the proper title rather than "Impact!" which is a better reference to its old title. Wrestling is stylized in a way that might be viewed as a subtitle I guess.

I have just added archive links to one external link on
Impact Wrestling. Please take a moment to review
my edit. If necessary, add {{
cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{

Support reverting to longstanding name. No reason for disambiguatior. Rumor is that they're officially finally dropping the TNA name, but there has been no official announcement, and rumors, especially the notoriously unreliable pro wrestling "dirtsheets", are insufficient reason to enact any premature move.

Support & Comment- 1) There was NEVER a discussion done as to whether the article for the show should be renamed; therefore, the article for show should be IMMEDIATELY reverted back to its prior name & 2) as it was pointed out in the edit summary for a recent edit of the TNA article, even though multiple wrestling news sites have reported on Anthem re-branding TNA as "Impact Wrestling" (as well as even Dave Meltzer's Wrestling Observer Newsletter reporting on it), Anthem itself has yet to *OFFICIALLY* announce the re-branding. Once Anthem makes the announcement, THEN the article for TNA can be renamed to Impact Wrestling, but NOT BEFORE that happens.

Impact Wrestling → Impact Wrestling (TV series) – As the promotion behind this TV series has changed its name to Impact Wrestling, the same name as the series, there is sentiment that the promotion, and not the series, should be the primary topic for "Impact Wrestling". Thus, this article on the TV series needs to be moved to a parenthetically disambiguated title to begin clearing the way for the promotion. Links to [[Impact Wrestling]] may need to be bypassed to ensure that they continue pointing to the correct target. See also the discussions and requested move at
Talk:Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.

This appears to have just been moved by JMichael22 from GFW Impact! to current title. GFW is still part of logo and there is another TV series. The ! isn't enough to identify.

Support I intended to propose this later on, there's still a lot of questions regarding the name of the promotion which airs this TV show, but I don't think there are many questions about the name of the TV show. It's Impact!. It's the
WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, that's why
Impact! redirects here. Disambigulation isn't needed. Regarding the exclamation point, only using punctuation as a substitute for a letter is discouraged per
MOS:TM guideline, examples like
Yahoo! are acceptable.

Oppose. There are 40 individual entries listed at the
Impact disambiguation page --- far too many for a separate stand-alone title differentiated solely by an exclamation point. For users who are knowledgeable regarding the exclamation within the specific object of their search, the redirect is sufficient.
—Roman Spinner(talk)(contribs)05:53, 8 October 2017 (UTC)reply
Oppose The Show is simply referred to as IMPACT the company uses all caps when using the Impact name they are no longer GFW and Impact Wrestling is the company name not the name of the show, the name is fine as it is

How are we supposed to treat it? As equally a player as Pursuit Channel? Or more secondary like Amazon Prime (and preciously, Twitter) is to Thursday Night Football? Or is it actually the bigger player because it might have bigger reach than the Pursuit Channel--

Support/Comment. The promotion started using the TNA Impact! name again for the show last night, the article name should be changed to reflect this new (old) name. However, I feel the article name should be "TNA Impact! (TV series)" to differentiate it from the TNA Impact! video game. — Preceding

Comment The page was moved while the RM was opened. That should never be done. I am reverting that move until this discussion is concluded. Let the discussion pay out and be patient. There is

TNA announced on Twitter or X yeah whatever, That they are going back to the Cross the Line theme from 2008 to 2010. So I am assuming that someone will edit this page to update this.
