The article's template says that the plane wsa registered under EI-TAF. I'm not sure if this is correct; planes with registrations beginning with EI- are registered in the Republic of Ireland. Does anyone know the source for this? And if there is none, could somebody find the correct registration for the aircraft? - Robert Skyhawk ( Talk) 00:15, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
Many non Irish aircraft carry Irish registrations as a result of being owned by an Irish leasing company, in this case ALIX Leasing Limited. The registartion is indeed correct. --

It is definitely correct, the registration is clearly seen in a crash picture. -- Starbucks95905 ( talk) 00:37, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
I keep deleting this section because I think it is irrelevant. Somebody keeps adding it back. Here are my thoughts on these "so called" similarities:
Same aircraft type and model A320-233
Lots of crashes are the same plane. There is no indication that the aircraft model had anything to do with this crash.
Same accident general characteristics (overran runway, wet cloudy conditions)
This is the only relevant part, and may be worthy of a sentence, not a separate section.
Similar aircraft flight hours and cycles 21,957 and 9,992 for 390;, 20,379 and 9,313 for 3054
Given that this is the same model aircraft (likely built around the same time), it is not odd that they both were flown as much. There is no indication that aircraft fatigue played a role in either crash, thus, the number of cycles is irrelevant.
Both aircraft were at one point in time operated by TACA
There is no indication that, in the TAM crash, the prior ownership by TACA played any role in the crash.

I read the crash report :: http://aviation-safety.net/database/record.php?id=20080530-0 it says he was cleared to land at runway 02 and he landed at runway 02. But on the wikipedia page it says it landed the opposite way. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.161.194.105 ( talk) 12:46, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
