This does not read like a encyclopedia article at all. I don't know how to add those silly bullshit notices, but this article is craaaaap. 67.185.251.75 ( talk) 06:03, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
agreed, this article seems to be an activist opinion piece. Crime rates have nothing to do with it really? Really? In any case Why does the article even exist as the issue seems to be entirely covered in the food desert article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gjxj ( talk • contribs) 12:29, 11 February 2020 (UTC)
This reference needs to be fixed: Fuller, Andrea (2004). A History of Food Insecurity in West Oakland, CA : Supermarket Location. Oakland, CA: People's Grocery. I'm not clear that this is the original publisher and cannot access the article. Skingski ( talk) 16:52, 18 July 2017 (UTC)( talk)
Added several other programs here. They need to be fleshed out with references. Skingski ( talk) 01:07, 23 July 2017 (UTC)( talk)
Is this article significantly different than "food dessert"? I strongly suggest delete. Pete unseth ( talk) 16:50, 6 May 2023 (UTC)
