This response is kind of late, but the "Super" mode is turn-based as well as real-time. Maneuvering on the map and picking a target is done in a turn-based fashion. When dueling another ship or sub, the weapons are aimed and fired manually in real-time. Cruise missiles are also available, but those are fire and forget weapons (no "duel" occurs). --
