"A strap, sometimes also called strop (the older form of strap), is a strip" -- hopefully someone can come up with a less silly-sounding intro line than this (strap strop strap strip)? -- Fastfission 14:40, 19 June 2006 (UTC) reply

Did some of that. I changed some word use, and moved the disruptive discussion of word origins out of the intro section. Hope that makes it a little more clear. - Monk of the highest order 21:15, 3 December 2006 (UTC) reply

disambiguation?

This looks like a disambiguation page with articles crapped across it instead of just links. Someone needs to wipe it and flush it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.184.241.144 ( talk) 00:42, 23 December 2007 (UTC) reply

I second this. This reads half like an article and half like a disamg page. It needs to be totally reworked. -- Wizard191 ( talk) 19:27, 24 January 2008 (UTC) reply

Shaving

There are many links to this page from the Straight razor page, but nothing here to explain how to 'strop' your razor with a leather strap. If I knew more about this, I would write a short article about it here. (Feel free to enlighten the rest of us if you know anything about stroping a razor.

Unfortunately the page for that was reverted. It now has been restored and is available at razor strop. I'll add a dab link to this page to cover the strop base. Wizard191 ( talk) 21:09, 13 August 2008 (UTC) reply
