Support: The big T wasn't intended during development. Once the name was chosen it was spoken as a single word, pronounced 'Start-opia'. We just happened to settle on a version of the logo that required the name to be split in half, and confusion has reigned ever since...

Gors are (obviously) Dungeon Keeper's "Horny" (horned demon) with head horns removed (but body spikes retained).
Also, the terrain manager engine may or may not derive from a Populous 3 (or 4) prototype made before the conflict arose & caused those people to leave and form a new studio.
