A pass here.
Sufficient explanation.
This section passes.
This section passes as well. The information on Yunnan was particularly interesting.
This article passes, without need for change in the prose. That is very impressive for an article of this length. However, there is an issue with this image. You need a US copyright tag. After that, it passes. Congratulations! QatarStarsLeague ( talk) 01:05, 15 July 2013 (UTC)
@ Khanate General: Hi, I just want to point out that the Encyclopædia Britannica and Davidson 1991 portray the deaths of the Trung sisters as suicides, which conflict with the article's assertion that the "Trung sisters were executed". Please provide some thoughts on this discrepancy. Otherwise, a great article. Your work is much appreciated. Regards, -- Sp33dyphil © hat ontributions 13:15, 26 December 2013 (UTC)
A serious rebellion broke out in AD 40. This was led by two sisters, Cheng Ts'e and Cheng Erh, and evoked a positive response from some sixty-five towns and settlements. It required... Ma Yuan, with a force of 10,000 men, to put down. Chang Ts'e and Chang Erh were duly executed; they have subsequently found a place in folklore as heroines.I'll have to check other sources to verify what happened.-- Khanate General ☪ talk project mongol conquests 00:19, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
Trung Trac and Nhi suffer the same fate (and their heads are sent to the Han court). In some accounts, they commit suicide. Taylor 1983 has a longer, more complete answer:
Ma Yuan proceeded to Me-linh and, by the end of the year, succeeded in capturing Trang Trac and her sister Nhi; in the first month of the new year, their heads were sent to the Han court in Lo-yangwith a footnote that says
There are several popular traditions according to which the sisters committed suicide by drowning themselves in a river, died of illness, or disappeared into the clouds.-- Khanate General ☪ talk project mongol conquests 10:19, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
