"SDSS is well known for its football program, unique hockey academy, and ambitious theatre program." Well known to whom? This statement's enormously ambiguous. As a recent graduate and as someone who's been to well-financed Vancouver schools, I can say SDSS is hardly "well known" for anything other than being 'locally known' for its student apathy and underfunded nature.
If anything I think it needs to be expanded before it's regarded as incorrect. The article *should* explain the hockey program associated with the giants and the merits of the equinox theatre which has gotten critical acclaim. Anyways, what does "locally known" mean? In Tsawwassen? Or maybe even a smaller community such as recent graduates? Your suggestion is more NPOV and ambiguous. I'm pretty sure almost every high school in Delta, let alone most sub-urban schools in Canada, can be 'locally known' for student apathy and underfunded nature due to ideals of the suburban community, current generation, and the nature of publicly funded high schools.
I would add to this article but I fear my information is limited. I have not lived in Tsawwassen for 4 years and feel that my input would slightly outdated. It would be nice if someone could add information as it appears in news.
