Sentence needs editing

Not sure of the intended meaning of this sentence, therefore not sure how to edit it, but it seems ungrammatical: "...a study published by Brill showed that religious attitudes do not effect on negative out-group attitudes." Could be 'do not have an effect' or 'do not effect negative out-group attitudes' PlantSwordfish ( talk) 15:03, 20 November 2018 (UTC) reply
