Let's add in the weights 98.119.184.110 ( talk) 21:47, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
In the History section of this article, it states the following. No boxer has been recognized that has won seven different world championships in seven different categories of weight by a major recognizing body. Two boxers, Héctor Camacho of Puerto Rico and Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines, held seven championships in seven weight divisions, although not all were awarded by the major sanctioning bodies. Filipino Manny Pacquiao clinched the feat when he defeated Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico who held the World Boxing Organization welterweight title in November 14, 2009 at the MGM Grand Las Vegas. I don't know enough about this topic ... but those sentences seem to contradict each other. The first two sentences say that no boxer has ever achieved the feat ... and the third sentence says that Pacquiao has achieved the feat. Can someone fix this or reword it? Thanks. Camacho's later titles should not be counted and Camacho should not be considered a septuple champion. Those titles are not major titles. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 148.168.40.4 ( talk) 13:40, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
The first table claims that Pacquiao has defended his WBO Welterweight title once while the second table claims zero defenses. Since the first is "major" and the second includes "major and minor" the lower number for the second table doesn't make much sense. Which is correct? 143.239.96.226 ( talk) 12:40, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
