from what I've heard, this name Sentinel comes from the book by Arther Clark by the same name where a "Sentinal" on the moon ends its signal to it's creator when it's discovered by humans —Preceding unsigned comment added by TMV943 ( talk • contribs) 17:23, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
Isn't the example in section == Linked list == an example of a sentinel node — and NOT of a sentinel value — with all its characteristics ??
Such an example is already contained in article
