RfC: Does this BLP satisfy the General Notability Guideline?

I'm inclined to believe Mr. Villafania is notable under the general notability guideline (he's been published in several publications, and has been awarded awards as well), but not so sure about the notability guideline for creative professionals, which seems awfully strict. What I do know is that he is a prominent Pangasinense literary figure, so that could give him some weight. (This does not put into consideration the fact that I cited his translation of Ricardo Ma. Nolasco's "Ang Filipino at Tagalog, Hindi Gaanong Kasimple" for a paper.) --

COI tag
I have placed a COI tag on the article. A cursory examination of contrib logs of the most prolific editors reveal a narrow pattern of contributions to this and another related article,
Anacbanua. Please reply here if you are interested in discussing the tag. —

I started both entry for the Anacbanua and so is the Villafania entry. Villafania is one of the founder of the Anacbanua group together with some notable artists and intellectuals in Pangasinan. I am hoping that you will keep both entries as these of importance as far as Pangasinan is concerned. Thank you.
