But same-sex marriage does take place in Guernsey, whether you are talking about the island or the Bailiwick. It doesn't take place at all in Germany, Greece, Poland etc. We can use the text to explain precisely what the situation is on each island, but it makes sense to bring this article into line with all the others.

Support. Every other page begins using "Same-sex marriage in" even when only sub-jurisdictions permit it ("SSM in Mexico" and "SSM in the United States" prior to June 2015.)
