Reading through the article, I find myself wanting more information on Irby's background as compared to her professional life to give a greater understanding of the separation between her professional accomplishments and her history which may have led to her getting there. I also think you can get away with cutting "her female parter" down to just "her partner" as the term is generally used for same sex couples and the name of her partner states her as female.
I also think it might be good for you to cite the sources without putting the links directly in as they break up the flow. They should automatically show up on the bottom regardless. — Preceding

But I agree that the format of the references is dreadful: please will students learn how to do things in Wikipedia, either from their instructors or just by looking around at other articles and copying how to do things. We also never say "35-year-old": that's going to be out of date within 12 months. Give the date of birth if known, or "(born 1981 or 1982)" in the opening sentence (if she's 35 this year she may or may not have had her birthday - but check my maths). There's a lot to learn about editing Wikipedia and it's an interesting journey, but too often instructors don't give students enough advice before they send you off to edit this amazing international encyclopedia. Happy Editing!
