As far as I know, this man in the Pak army kept himself away from participating in the genocide of Bangladeshi people in 1971 and actually was softer towards the Bengali Freedom movements during March, 1971. Learning that army may enter into a vicious plan to crackdown on the Bengalis, he resigned. His successor, Tikka was just the opposite, to become the Butcher of Bengal. But Shahebjada Yakub is one general in Pakistan army of that generation who is not hated by the Bengalis.
Parvez M. Ashraf
He was the one who let the Actual Genoice, which is the killing of unarmed civilians of East Pakistan on the hands of Mukti Bahini happen.
Anyway, whats the point of putting your personal opinion here?
