The current title falsely implicates SNC-Lavalin as a guilty party when, in fact, no charges have ever been brought against the Company, nor has anyone ever been arraigned.

Oppose By far the scandal is popularly known as "SNC Lavalin scandal". Never even Heard of "Kerala Hydro scandal". When i googled it, it returned no results other than this page. The matter that SNC Co. was not not legally implicated doesn't mean the name should be changed in here. It's just the "name" of the scandal. Arjuncodename02408:10, 4 July 2010 (UTC)reply
Support I agree, I've seen more than one name for this issue like Lavalingate also. I think it's a great idea to rename it to a more general name

All the common names have "lavalin" name in it, the most common one being the present title. moreover, "Kerala Hydro scandal" is a name never ever heard of.
[1] - Google search for "Kerala Hydro scandal" - No results other than from this page.
[2] - Google search for "SNC Lavalin scandal" - Many results. see link.

This article is off to a good start, but SNC-Lavalin has been involved in many scandals lately,
[5] not just affecting India. I think if the issue of moving it were still valid, I would vote to move it.
Issues needing to be addressed are also written on the front page: it's too technical, written like a report, and needs to be cleaned up. If it is to encompass other scandals, it also requires coverage with reliable sources from Western medias about things like the
Charbonneau commission. Until this gets answered, I will leave its importance to
Wikipedia:WikiProject Quebec unassessed. -

As the article stands now, its only relation to
WP:QC is that the perpetrator happens to be based in Quebec, Canada. Is it, then, truly under the scope of the project? -

Strong supportWP:CRITERIA this does not identify its topic with sufficient specifity. Particularly, the Libya scandal is international in scope, and several other major scandals have happened before and after this one in Kerala and that one in Libya. There also the plentitude of bribery scandals
