I find this article is still lacking some significant information. The current article does not deal with the various conflicts Gullit created throughout his career: he walked out multiple times from the Dutch national team (only one such incident is mentioned in the article). In addition, he created a conflict with several of his coaches, amongst others with Bobby Robson while at PSV to force his departure to AC Milan. Also, as mentioned slightly throughout in the article he has walked out on a significant number of his contracts prematurely due to "personal reasons", the latest being at LA Galaxy. I think this deserves updating and possible a separate section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.248.249.204 ( talk) 06:13, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Anyone know why he changed his name to Ruud Gullit, when he was apparently called Ruud Dil?-- Ukdan999 20:44, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
I've been trying in vain to add to the box Gullit's time as coach of Feyenoord but for some reason I'm not foing it properly. It would be good if someone with some expertise could add it.
Why describe his mother as his father's 'mistress'? This is a rather pejoritave and judgemental way to describe the relationship with no apparent justification. How about something neutral like, "Gullit was born in Amsterdam to Ria Dil from Amsterdam's Jordaan district and George Gullit, an Afro-Surinamese migrant. His birth was registered in the name of Ruud Dil." 193.173.249.1 ( talk) 12:51, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
Caps and goal figures in the article likely contain European cup/Domestic cup data in addition to Domestic League data (this is very certain based on this user's previous edits containing similar information [1]. Please correct this issue and leave a note here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Alfmaster#Footballers.27_European_goals, to warn this person about putting improper information on Wikipedia. -- Palffy 21:17, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
Please someone who has better knowledge of what gullit does these days expand this new section I created otherwise it should be deleted along with the mention of his TV show as it should definitely not be under managerial career.
Sethacus, I reverted your change of the were/was in relation to Chelsea. In England sports teams are referred to in the plural, so "Chelsea were", though I realise that in America it is the singular "Chelsea was". Given that Chelsea are an English club (and Wikipedia does not prefer American English over English) I have reverted it to the English style. Comme 08:11, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Think these might want looking at. Also seems to contradict article a little. If I could remember back to the days of watching Football Italia I would put the confirmed details in. Might be wrong but it looks a little off. Londo 06 12:06, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
I'm sorry, but I cannot pass the article as this time. Here are some things to fix before renomination at WP:GAC:

I still don't understand why the "Afro-Caucasian people" category is not appropriate, while Gullit's status as a multicultural icon is duly referenced ? Wedineinheck ( talk) 14:52, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
His legal name is Rudi Dil, not Ruud Dil like the article says. Vernoeming ( talk) 14:21, 26 November 2011 (UTC)

Gullit is categorised as a Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau but I can't find a reliable source for this (although photos exist of him receiving the honour.) Can anybody help? OGBC1992 ( talk) 10:23, 24 April 2023 (UTC)
