I reuploaded this picture, taken by me, because I think it's a very good and high-quality shot. The boulevard is a very vibrant, busy and pretty area of the street, and the chosen shot should reflect this. please think twice before you delete this great photograph. thank you!
I have converted the images into a gallery, and re-instated the previous main image, which is much more clear and informative. Images with people should be avoided anyway, unless they are to show a demonstration/event. What would be extremely helpful though is if you could find a higher-quality image from 1913 because this one will have to be cropped to remove the caption, skewed, etc. which is not great. If you find a very high-quality scan, it could also be restored by one of Wikipedia's great restorationists (see
this). Two more things: Firstly, please don't put custom image widths unless it's a panorama, per
Wikipedia:Accessibility. Secondly, please upload free images (e.g. images taken by yourself) to WikiMedia Commons. Thanks,

Hi again,
I don't have a good version of the 1913 shot without the title... sorry.
Plus - I do think that the sunny-looking shot of the boulevard with all the people in it, is much nicer and gives a much better impression of the boulevard. Also, what do you mean by custom image width?
In that case, please edit out the text and all irrelevant image data in Photoshop. I don't have time to do it at the moment, and according to Israeli law, PD images can be copyrighted if anything original is added to them (even a caption), so while I doubt that the museum/location where you took the picture claims copyright, it could be problematic if they do. Therefore, only the public domain part of the image should stay.
About custom image width, I mean adding "250px" or something similar. This parameter is meant for extra-wide panorama images and other extreme cases, not simple thumbnails. On a side note, Wikipedia commons is located as
http://commons.wikimedia.org . --
