Ross Winn was born to John Francis Winn and Bell Winn in Texas on August 25, 1871. (census record and Fifth Estate article)
On August 20, 1900, Ross' wife, Augusta Gertrude Smith (known as "Gussie") gave birth to their first and only son: Ross Winn Jr.
Married Gussie in 1899(?) in Tennessee.
Birthplace
Recently, Ross Winn's birthplace was changed from 'Texas' to 'Dallas, Texas' and cited to the article
Ross Winn in the Anarchist Universe. Unfortunately, that article doesn't mention anything about Winn's birth or Texas. Although we know that Winn lived in Dallas during part of his life, I haven't been able to find any evidence that he was born there. For now, we should change his birthplace back to just 'Texas' per the
verifiability policy.

This is a relatively short article but includes most of what is known about Ross Winn, as he is fairly obscure. Currently only one
secondary source is listed. It would be good to dig up some of the primary sources if possible.
