Hello! I'll snag this review. Most of my comments should appear Friday, but I'll try to lodge some initial comments shortly. I have experience reviewing and nominating architecture and biography articles. A cursory glance at the article suggests things should be fairly smooth sailing. If you need me to reply more quickly, please leave a message on my talk page! ~ Pbritti ( talk) 23:11, 3 July 2024 (UTC) reply

Initial comments

  • My appraisal is that the subject is clearly notable but he was something of a low-key figure. Right off the bat, I've got to commend you for the work you've done in scrounging up the details in this article. Great work!
  • It's weird that the Harvard schools he attended don't appear to have specific articles about them (unless, of course, the university's organization is a tad different from what I'm used to). Not a problem for this review, but just something I noticed.
  • First pass on grammar, MOS, etc. all looks good. I'll get into the nitty-gritty while working through each section.
  • Never seen a selective service card in an article before. Since it's a decently high-quality scan that furnishes some personal details, I think it's worth including. An alternative option could be an image of the Ethical Culture Fieldston School.
  • Other images look relevant and don't appear to have copyvio issues.

Alright, that's a very rudimentary start. I'll try to do some work with the references tomorrow. ~ Pbritti ( talk) 23:25, 3 July 2024 (UTC) reply

Main review

Images

  • File:Robert C. Weinberg.jpg in infobox is a non-free image that is used appropriately and has already been resized to an acceptable resolution. No caption needed. Too bad we don't know when it was taken.
  • File:Ethical Cult Feldston jeh.JPG was swapped in to replace the card with draft info. I don't know if this is a major improvement, as I am fairly certain the building depicted postdates Weinberg's time there. This is a discretionary decision and does not impact the review. That image is clear of copyright issues.
  • Other images are relevant and free of copyvios.

Lead and infobox

  • Exceptionally done, great work. All of my suggestions are not required for promotions.
  • After graduating from Ethical Culture Fieldston School he I recommend a comma between "School" and "he"; same with between "Harvard" and "where" in the same sentence.
    • I think I like it better this way.
  • He died in 1974, leaving a portion of his estate to Harvard This seems very slightly at odds with the description later in the biography section, which suggests the bequeath occurred on his spouse's passing. I can imagine that the will said that the property would pass to Harvard on both their deaths, but the current passage could be read as suggesting the property passed on his death in 1984.
    • Clarified.
  • I would recommend just a slight elaboration on Weinberg's disagreement with Moses.
    • Hmmm, I'm not sure what else there is to say. I've got a whole paragraph about that. Is there some particular aspect that you think I should expand on?
  • He was a fellow I recommend "also" be inserted between "was" and "a".
    • I think that would make sense if there were two different fellowships being discussed, but I think it's OK as it is now.

Biography

  • Birthdate note is good.
  • Degree history note is good.
  • in 1951 with Consider a comma between "1951" and "with".
  • I do have mild concerns with this source, which includes a typo that claims Weinberg's birth was in 1921. In fairness, the New York Preservation Archive Project seems like a reliable-enough source (probably even generally reliable), but I still felt I should make note of my concern. Definitely not something to derail the GA.
    • Yeah, I saw that. It's so obviously a typo, I didn't feel it was worth mentioning.
  • This source refers to his presidency of the GSD Alumni Council, which appears to (weakly) confirm that he received a graduate degree and the presidency of this organization might be worth adding to the article. Up to you. (Of course, this source also gets his death date wrong, putting it in 1975. Oh well.)

Ok, I'll get the next sections later in the next 12 hours. Great work thus far; looks like we'll have an easy pass within the next couple days. ~ Pbritti ( talk) 17:45, 7 July 2024 (UTC) reply

Just want to ack that I've seen this, but I'm busy with a number of other things so may not get back to this immediately. RoySmith (talk) 02:45, 8 July 2024 (UTC) reply

Final eval

Looks like you've handled anything I'd have any issues with. I've reviewed the sources and it looks like they're solid despite some having notable typographical issues. I also modified how one reference was presented, since it looks like it was a separate publication being hosted on a third-party site. Overall, a neat article on a neat subject. Great job on a Good Article. I'll list it shortly. ~ Pbritti ( talk) 01:57, 11 July 2024 (UTC) reply
