Someone should translate the German version of the entry into English. I'd do it, but with only rudimentary skill at German, this would take me a month.
Just a suggestion.
Very good idea, especially as the German article disagrees considerably with this one:
"Damit gelten die Vorschriften über zulässige Zutaten des alten BierStG jetzt nur noch für die Bierherstellung in Deutschland für den deutschen Markt. Importiertes Bier ist aufgrund des o.a. Urteils des Europäischen Gerichtshofes von 1987 nicht an diese Vorschriften gebunden; auch deutsche Brauereien dürfen davon abweichen, wenn sie für den Export produzieren, oder für „besondere Biere“ eine Ausnahmegenehmigung erhalten."
Based on Google Translate, I've tried to clear up the most obvious differences between the two, consistent with good practices around sourcing (lots of the German article, like this one, is unsourced). If anyone else wants to pitch in, you're welcome to! —

I've done a lot more to get the key points from the German article into this one. Again, though, if anyone is a native German speaker, especially if you're comfortable with looking up German sources, there is a lot more information there that could be imported! —

Luis, thanks for your work on the article, you've made some good improvements. I'll try to translate over some more from the German article when I have time.

Translators
Whoever keeps editing the English version of this page really to improve his or her writing skills. I went ahead and make (MADE) some grammatical changes; the page is still not pretty, but at least it doesn't sound like a first year "Inglisch" student wrote the wiki.
Future editors, if you plan to edit this page, please, please, please make sure you are a native or near-native writer. Don't just directly translate words from the German version of this wiki, or write without at least consulting someone who uses English on a regular basis.—Preceding

Please sign and date your demands with four tildes ~~~~ so other editors are able to ask you for translation help if it becomes an issue. -

I have attempted to address this somewhat, but note that this section of the German article is poorly sourced, and I have had difficulty finding many good sources in English on the subject. —

Chronology
Hi, I think the article could be improved by rearranging its paragraphs to ensure the chronology of the events mentioned. --

Unfortunately German stamps are somewhat problematic. (It is a little bit of a wonder that the 450-year stamp hasn't already been deleted.) For more details, see
