An editor recently added a bit about Salam's self-promotion efforts, and criticism thereof. I wonder if this is really notable? Almost all successful new writers self-promote -- who else is going to do it? No biggee, though. Cheers,

If the image is

fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
As an openly gay Conservative, Reihan holds views that conflict with other family values Republicans. I think it is quite pertinent to his biographical info to at least mention his same-sex orientation much as has been done for his colleague Ken Mehlman.

Why Is This in an Encyclopedia Article?
"Like many New Yorkers, Salam does not drive."
Does he take milk in his coffee? How often does he get a haircut? Boxers of briefs?
In other words, there is a ton of trivia that could be chucked in every biographical page. If this has no connection to anything of importance about the man, it should be yanked.
