OK I have made a number of changes to the article. Her campaign appears to have written the page originally. I am not going to argue whether or not she is even notable enough for WIki. But I think the changes should be acceptable for now.

I thought I eliminated all of them. Someone from the campaign did go back and revert all of the changes though. If there is one that I left, I think its because there was no independent source available. But I attempted to restrict it to something factual, such as the case getting dismissed. Hard to lie about that and easy to verify if I actually wanted to put in the time.

If you review the history, you'll find I started this article, just as I've contributed to many articles on politicians and others from my home state, Minnesota. I have no connection to Otto or her campaign. The original version contained simple biographical facts, not POV. I'm puzzled why some of those, such as the area she lives in, were dropped.
Jonathunder05:15, 23 October 2006 (UTC)reply
No you're right and I apologize for the assertion that you did the blatant NPOV stuff. It wasn;t until the
User:Ottocampaign got involved that the POV stuff was added. I certainly don;t have a problem with the biographical facts.
Montco05:29, 23 October 2006 (UTC)reply
My apologies as well if I deleted some biographical information, I was, as Montco was, just trying to eliminate "facts" that only referenced to campaign site press releases.

Thank you both. If
User:Ottocampaign really is connected with the campaign, I would strongly encourage them to stay the heck away from editing this article. A Minnesota Congressman got lots of publicity he didn't want recently when staffers in his office kept editing his article (on taxpayer time) and identified themselves as acting on his behalf. Please read
WP:AUTO and let Wikipedia's own processes keep this article nuetral and verifiable.

The very same. In the end, its just the Minnesota Democrats. I guess they like to do things a little differently in MN.
Montco05:52, 23 October 2006 (UTC)reply
Yes. In Minnesota, the Democratic Party is officially the
Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party: the result of a merger between the Democrats and the old
Farmer-Labor Party. Here, the initials "DFL" are as widely used and understood as "GOP" is. Until a few years ago, Minnesota Republicans were officially the "Independent Republican" or "IR" Party. I believe we are the only state where party names don't exactly align with the national ones. Still, our politics aren't quite as colorful as those in Louisianna, or so I've heard. ;-)
Jonathunder05:59, 23 October 2006 (UTC)reply
Thanks for the info. Unless one of your governors is going to die in federal prison (i.e.
Edwin Edwards), but remains one of the most popular governors in state history, no its not quite as colorful. :)
Geez, first I had the Otto campaign coming in with their own POV and now her opponents are coming after her. To both campaigns, if your strategy is to use Wikipedia as a campaign vehicle, then you are a pretty sad campaign. Door to door works better! Believe me.

We haven't reached that point in PA, but I am sure we'll catch up. In any case, in three days we can probably relax a bit...until the next election.
