There are several businesses here, including two restaurants, motor service, post office, fuel and oil service. three churches, and a new school is in the works as of 2022. Woodland School (Fairfax, OK) combined both Fairfax (formerly "Red Devils" mascots) and Ralston (formerly "Tigers" mascots) in 1990, and Ralston Public Schools became Woodland Junior High. The school building, itself, was closed in 2019, bringing it back to the Town of Fairfax; however, Woodland Public School still maintains the agricultural building as well as the gymnasium here. The Ralston Opera House is still in existence as well as an internet service. An annual Labor Day celebration is held in the town each year since 1945 (except for 2020, due to COVID-19).
