sorry I am quite new at editing-- am a quite a good editor but if I am against convention please help me out.
The section of comparisons, the railway wayleave is not just an an analogy-- BR definitely used their wayleave and communication network to attempt to get into generaly telelphony (as opposed to just telephone systems).
BICC, who I worked for, made some products to attempt to use similar wayleaves which exist on the electricity network (i.e. overtrung cables from pylons) to superimpose fast comms using vibre optic inter- or over- wound with the cable, or by using high frequency AC that would not be affected by the mains frequency.
This is not an attemptd at an extension to the section, I should be pleased to hear your views and I will provide a first draft with more detail if you think worth it SimonTrew ( talk) 20:35, 2 October 2008 (UTC)trewy@live.co.uk
