"As with its "successor", Valis, this is perhaps his most autobiographical novel. "
Both can't be his MOST autobiographical novel. I'm changing this sentence to read, "As with its "successor", VALIS, this novel is autobiographical." —Preceding

"A star system with a name out of our own devising; I knew the star's name. It was Albemuth. But I could find no such star listed in our reference works, although the prefix Al was common to stars, since it signified the word "the" in Arabic." — Preceding

"Albemuth" (Arabic: "al-Behemoth", which PKD interpreted to mean "the whale", note the PKD fish symbolism) allegedly refers to the star
Fomalhaut, which was found to have a planet in the 2000s. It was the first exoplanet to be directly observed in visible light, and is about the size of Jupiter. PKD also talks about this in The Unteleported Man (1966), where colonists travel to a planet in the Fomalhaut system known as "Whale's Mouth".
