... that the Punch Bowl Inn(pictured) in Lancashire was reputed to be haunted by the ghost of a highwayman? "The Punch Bowl in Hurst Green was visited by highwaymen Dick Turpin and Ned King in the late 1730s and the ghost of ‘Old Ned’ is said to still roam the pub." from:
"For Sale: 18th century pub where Dick Turpin stayed up for £325k". Lancashire Telegraph. 31 March 2015. Retrieved 30 July 2021.
ALT1:... that the
grade-II listed 18th-century Punch Bowl Inn(pictured) in Lancashire was demolished without consent in June 2021? "A historic Lancashire pub was demolished without warning last month after years of decay and wrangling over planning permission. The owner of the Punch Bowl, near Longridge, did not have consent from Ribble Valley borough council to destroy the grade II-listed building" from: "Nooks and Corners". Private Eye. No. 1552. 23 July 2021. p. 22.
New as of 31 July, long enough, sources check out, Earwig check performed and the only thing it picked up is a direct quote that's marked as such. Both hooks are good but the main (non-alt) hook is far more interesting. All looks good!
