This is actually my first artice, please don't scare the newbies. I did as much research on this as I could, but this still appears to be short, so I decided to make it a stub.

I changed the "common" to "uncommon" because its quite rare to actually contract this. (never contracted it in Gold or Silver, playing Emerald now and still haven't contracted.)
Could there possibly be a way to manipulate the game using a Gameshark or similar device to force the Pokerus to infect your Pokemon at all times? This is the first time I've heard of this, and I'm quite curious. Lord Sephiroth

You should not fail to mention that an event sponsored by nintendo handed out infected pokémon to visitors.
All that's mentioned is the benefits and how to cure it and where it can't be cured. There are no problems listed that are associated with this "virus"? 67.188.172.165 22:55, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

The Japanese-language version of this article lists the chances of contracting the Pokérus as being 3/65535. Tony Myers 01:05, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
