Amphiantus is a monotypic genus in the Plantaginaceae with the species A. pusillus. (See :
[2]). Amphianthus also happens to be a genus of seafans. Therefore, when this genus will be described in wikipedia, a disambiguation page will be needed, e.g. Amphianthus (plant) and Amphianthus (seafan).

Medical uses
My children have been taught at summer camp that this plant has several medical uses. Specifically it soothes insect bites and helps to heal wounds. It would be interesting to have a complete list of its uses and an explanation of how to use it.

What sort of plants we're talking about
I feel like it might be worth mentioning some of the sorts of plants that are in this family, especially any highly familiar and commercially important food crops. Maybe before getting on to the details of any taxonomic controversies. No? --
