The article referred to is by Judith Thomson. Perhaps N J Yoder is thinking of a paper by Foot called "Abortion and the Doctrine of Double Effect"?

As the present article stands, the references to Thomson and the violinist thought experiment under "See Also" seem completely unrelated to the text of the entry. Perhaps they should be removed until at least some explicit mention of those two topics is made in the entry?

The bibliographical information at the end of this article is awkward. Should it be moved nearer to the top? Should there be separate biographical and philosohpical sections? I'm willing to do it if anyone else thinks this is a good idea.

Does anyone know where she was born, or anything about her early life? It would be nice to know a little about the person, not just her work. It would make the entry more rounded:)
Best wishes
