I think shortened title of Peter Ashmore (director) is extremely vague. It implies he could be a director of anything: of an oil company, of an accountancy firm etc. He was a theatre director and actor. AntientNestor who supervised the first edits for this article had no objection to my title.

My bad—careless. The only function is to distinguish the subject from others with same name. It would be different if there were already a "Peter Ashmore (director)" and we needed further differentiation.
