I don鈥檛 think it belongs here. The 38th Commando Brigade landed in Zhawar with helicopters and physically touched the ground, the landing zones were attacked by the mujahideen. The rest of the events were primarily ground combat, and they were captured by the Haqqani mujahideen.

Pakistani civilian casualties
@
AfghanParatrooper19891, content dispute should be discussed Here, and what's your source for Pakistani civilian casualties I've read the article Foreign involvement in Soviet Afghan war which discussed only Afghan civilian casualties and not Pakistani, please assume good faith on part of others and if you've source for Paki casualties please add that, it's a collaborative platform and you don't need to personally attack me on any topic. Btw due to allegations of being a "military agent", I'm refraining from editing articles concerning Pakistan. Anyways thanks a lot man for your contributions in other articles I truly appreciate it

Don鈥檛 worry, I don鈥檛 think you鈥檙e a foreign agent. Regardless, I have read the source and yes, 300 civilians died but it is not explicitly mentioned that they were Afghan refugees.
It still does not mention the nationalities of these civilians, and we have to consider that 鈥淲ar in Afghanistan鈥 by Mark Urban mentions that these Afghan refugees in these camps were being armed.
