I will admit to being a sceptic, so I fact-checked the crime graf. Only a moment with Google brought up this and other accounts. I post it here in case future editors doubt the veracity of the interrogation. - Willmcw 08:55, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)
"Drive-by Shooting Kills Pacoima Man" http://www.lapdonline.org/press_releases/2002/09/pr02502.htm LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE Friday, September 6, 2002 Los Angeles: On Thursday, September 5, 2002, at approximately 10:45 p.m., Foothill Area patrol officers responded to a "shots fired" radio call in the 13400 block of Van Nuys Boulevard in Pacoima. Upon arrival, the officers discovered a shooting victim, Silverio Luna, a 22 year-old resident of Pacoima. Witnesses at the scene said that an unknown type grey vehicle pulled up adjacent to Luna, who was a pedestrian on the sidewalk. The front passenger said "Where you from?" and as Luna began to respond, a shot was fired from the car. Luna, struck in the head, fell to the sidewalk. The suspects fled the scene and have not been identified.
Almost every morning when I'm listening to the traffic reports on KNX (AM), the helicopter reporter covering the 5 over Pacoima says, in a very enthusiastic way, "Good morning, Pacoima!" The consistent way he says it led me to think it was a quotation or allusion (a line from a movie or something), but I can't find the phrase on Google. Any ideas? There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Miracle Mile, Los Angeles, California which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. — RM bot 19:30, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
The original as written was referenced as a whole. If you wish to break it up, then it is up to you to add the citations for each. Thanks Imveracious ( talk) 16:39, 4 May 2013 (UTC)
The school lists its address as 11133 O'Melveny Ave, San Fernando, CA 91340. As such, it is not in Pacoima. Thanks Imveracious ( talk) 15:22, 27 April 2014 (UTC)

Fine article.
But I am saying this for the nth time: Often I come to Wikipedia to find out the answer to a specific Q. In a spectacular percentage of those cases it fails. Today was no exception.
I'm listening to my Ritchie Valens recording right now. I consulted this article to ascertain the pronunciation of the name of this city, and came away empty-handed.
Add it.
I suppose it might also be a good idea for me to find out how to suggest, at the Wiki policy level, that publication of any article about an entity with a proper name should be blocked until its pronunciation is provided.
