I reworded the new Criticisms section. I think the part about some exiles criticizing Paya for supporting some facets of socialism is very likely, but I haven't seen anyone but the editor criticize the Elections section of the Program for All Cubans, so I made the language more neutral. If you can cite specific outside criticisms, feel free to revert the wording. SantoDomingo71 01:39, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
I add a reference to his Nobel Peace Prize nominations. Seems to my view unbelievable that while the Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded recently very controversially to people like Al Gore and Barack Obama, it has ignored so far those who have fought for the Human Rights and democracy in Cuba. 81.193.24.109 ( talk) 01:21, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
Official statement from the US President is notable, but some senator (even if he is from Cuba) and a former Governor have no notability. -- 76.110.201.132 ( talk) 20:52, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
I know we have to include this absurdity, since it's cited to a WP:RS, but aside from just blaming Castro for everything, do his kids have any evidence that he was murdered? Were they there? Did the survivors comment? -- 76.110.201.132 ( talk) 22:53, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
I've archived most of the article's citations for future reference below. -- Khazar2 ( talk) 03:26, 12 April 2013 (UTC)

1. Well-written: | ||
![]() |
1a. the prose is clear, concise, and understandable to an appropriately broad audience; spelling and grammar are correct. | * "he received the 1999 Homo Homini Award of People in Need and the 2002 Sakharov Prize of the European Parliament" – would "from" be better than "of" in these instances ? * "the Communist takeover of the Cuban Revolution" – I think that this might be a contentious statement, and probably should be rephrased. Many of the senior figures fighting in the revolution were openly Communist from the outset. |

![]() |
2a. it contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline.

5. Stable: it does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute.
6. Illustrated, if possible, by media such as images, video, or audio:
![]() |
6a. media are tagged with their copyright statuses, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content.

6b. media are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions. | We could probably include another free image too, perhaps of Fidel Castro ? |

7. Overall assessment. |
Thanks, MBO! I have my stepson here for the weekend, so probably won't be doing sustained editing. I'll work to address these points on Monday or Tuesday, though. More then! -- Khazar2 ( talk) 21:23, 20 April 2013 (UTC)
Let me know if that addresses your concerns. Glad to keep working on anything else you see here. -- Khazar2 ( talk) 17:09, 22 April 2013 (UTC)
Don't know if this should be included, but it is worth keeping an eye on this. [1] Cheers, ComputerJA ( ☎ • ✎) 06:27, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
The driver had been fined before in Spain, to the point that he had lost all the points of his driver's license. Once for driving at 145 km/h where he had to drive below 90 km/h, and another one for using his mobile phone while driving. Apart from those, he had also accumulated a number of sanctions for other minor traffic related offences.
I think this omission makes the article clearly non-neutral.
And, BTW, the only witness that has said the car was rammed is the driver itself, who's obviously non-neutral. The other survivor said that he was asleep during the car crash, even when he was pressured by Paya's wife (who wasn't there) to change his testimony. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.101.238.161 ( talk) 18:13, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
