A master's thesis can only be used on a case-by-case basis, with its use defended on an article's talk page, per discussion at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard/Archive 26#Masters Theses, and an unpublished master's thesis not quoted elsewhere cannot be used under WP:SOURCEACCESS.
In any case, if one grad student's master's thesis, uncited elsewhere, is the only support of a claim or of an entire article, we need to ask ourselves why it is that no other author, historian or anyone else ever made these claims/ -- Tenebrae ( talk) 23:37, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
