Orthopnea does make breathing easier but it does so by helping to clear the lungs of edema. Your arms don't have a lot to do with this - it is the sitting that allows gravity to help clear the lungs. Look up the term elsewhere (like a medical book) and if you are convinced you're right please re-educate the entire medical community.
