I'm not understanding how the title "Odds and Sods" would pop up for an album. Where did it come from? And how does it describe the content? Also, am I correct in my saying Roger Daltrey designed the cover? According to www.thewho.net,it was indeed designed by him, but you never know.
A belated answer, but what the hell: "odds and sods" is an English expression referring to assortment of various things. Like "odds and ends". --

This album consists of fresh material released for the first time in '74 and the later expanded CD and rock encyclopedia's all refer to it as a general release, not a compilation (of previously released material.)
