Change - We do not translate article titles unless the characters are not in english script!! Simple as that, so it should be ONERA or Office National d’Études et de Recherches Aérospatiales, which everybody knows and NOT a translation which nobody knows!!!!!!!!-- Petebutt ( talk) 10:18, 27 May 2015 (UTC) reply
Oppose the use of an abbreviation and support the English name "French National Aerospace Research Centre" or "National Office for Aerospace Studies and Research". See also Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English). Heamo Wacko ( talk) 20:40, 27 May 2015 (UTC). reply

E.g. NASA or FIFA is also known primarily (common name) by its abbreviation (in case of FIFA also an abbreviation of a French name), and the Wikipedia article is named accordingly. See also WP:ACRONYMTITLE.

Some Google searches: for ONERA gives 458.000 hits, and for "French national aerospace research centre" gives 92.800 hits.

And on Google Scholar: ONERA gives 85.900 hits and "French national aerospace research centre" gives 11 hits. -- Crowsnest ( talk) 21:50, 27 May 2015 (UTC) reply

From Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English)

The title of an article should generally use the version of the name of the subject which is most common in the English language, as you would find it in reliable sources (for example other encyclopediae and reference works, scholarly journals and major news sources).
