How do we know this song's lyrics aren't in the public domain? I have no evidence otherwise, but I'd like to know where it's copyrights can be confirmed and when the lyrics will become public domain. -- MrCalifornia 20:12, 14 May 2007 (UTC) reply

The lyrics were written in 1930. They won't enter the public domain until 2025 at the earliest thanks to the Sonny Bono Copyright Term Extension Act. -- Daysleeper47 ( talk) 14:42, 13 October 2011 (UTC) reply
