I found two sources that state that her birthdate is in 1885 instead of 1884 (“Nora Holt.” The Black Perspective in Music, vol. 2, no. 2, 1974, pp. 226; BURNS, EDWARD, editor. “1926.” The Letters of Gertrude Stein and Carl Van Vechten, 1913-1946, Columbia University Press, 2013, pp. 131).
