I have been expanding the section of the article
noindex#Russian <noindex> tag. Navigation strips in Web pages are very common making this information useful, and it should be in Wikipedia somewhere. However, it has nothing to do with the HTML robots meta tag, and I am wondering whether it would be better to carve it out and put in an article of its own. I have not done this because I can't think of an appropriate name for the article. Any thoughts?

Why not leave the article pretty much as it is and change its title. The introduction would also need to be changed, but little else.

Let's do this. I will rename the page "Noindexing", and will then edit the "noindex" redirect to point to the relevant section in the revised and renamed article (which will be "Robots meta tag").

Oppose the name of the tag in noindex and the article refers to this tag. The verb noindexing is very uncommon usage a google search for "noindexing" yields just 6000 results
[1] compared with 110,000,000 for "noindex".
[2]. I've added a redirect from noindexing to here. --
