Yes. Like much of ancient anthropology, the Blemmyes got some embellishments, followed by some blurred distinctions. Possibly they were originally a tribe with a genetic predisposition to being hunchbacked, but by the time period in question, it was simply the title given to nomadic Beja tribesmen in the area. Think of the way anyone northeast of the Black Sea was "Scythian" from the Indo-Europeans to the Mongols. -

Apparently Derek A. Welsby: The Medieval Kingdoms of Nubia. Pagans, Christians and Muslims along the Middle Nile. London: The British Museum Press, 2002. has a complete listing of all known Nobadian and Blemmyan/Beja kings, which could be used here if someone has access to a library. -
