Though some consider Ngatikese a dialect of Pohnpeian, I would argue that it is a separate language. I am currently doing linguistic fieldwork in Sapwuahfik and have data to show that it is a separate language. The information is not yet published but the data is available online. In my experience with working with the Ngatikese community, the name of the language is just Ngatikese. Sapwuahfik is not used as the name of the language. Sapwuahfik is the name of the atoll where the language is spoken. The main island in the atoll is Ngatik. People from there identify as being Ngatikese and speaking Ngatikese. - Rentzb0711 ( talk) 00:55, 13 February 2015 (UTC)
