New Zealand Soccer should be changed to Football New Zealand as in May 2006, New Zealand Soccer changed it's name to Football New Zealand to keep up with the worldwide trend of just using football—Preceding

Pardon me if this comment is nothing more than editorializing. Personally, I like NZ Soccer as a name. It distinguishes it from rugby, which is king in NZ. What I've always hated, though, are the regional federations. Force3? Soccer 2? There's no continuity and some regions don't have "soccer" or "football" in their name. So, to make this relevant to a wikipedia talk page, I'll ask, is there any plan to rebrand these regional federations? Even knowing them as NZS District 1, District 2, District 3, etc., would sound better, in my humble American opinion. If so, add that bit to the article. Go Otago Utd.! --
