I don't know if anyone has thought of this, but it i think it's pretty obvious that Nero is Virgil's son. He has a vendetta against Dante probibly because his dad did, he's much younger, making him the appropriate age for a teenage son, and he looks exactly like VIRGIL, the TWIN BROTHER of Dante.
What are you, stupid or something. Nero Angelo, Virgil.
Shut up. Now. Nobody has any proof whatsoever. So hold your tongue till there is some.
- The IGN article referenced in this article implies that Dante was unknown to Nero prior to the events of Devil May Cry 4 (that doesn't preclude amnesia, however). The official website's flash intro mentions something about an unknown person's arm (presumably Nero, considering his devil hand) changing, and that person hearing a voice demanding more power. That certainly sounds a lot like Vergil, so even if Nero is not Vergil, perhaps his hand is sapient, and is Vergil somehow?

There is no proof yet (at least none that I know about) that it is Vergil. Also Vergil does NOT use guns except the special occasion where him and Dante used Ebony and Ivory in Devil May Cry 3. I have to admit however, that the name does make it sound like it is Vergil.
The latest issue of GI has a quote saying Nero is a newer, younger character, and also that Vergil will be in the game on his own (but wouldn't specify in what way). Supposedly, Nero is supposed to be new so that new players won't be intimidated, and his similarities are to keep things familiar for old fans. Also keep in mind that Nero appears to be similar to Dante, and Vergil isn't- Vergil is deadly serious and a dedicated swordfighter who hates using guns.

Besides, Nero is human with an attached demon arm. How would Vergil have had a fully human child?
As for looking like Dante and Vergil: that means little, if anything.
Example: Trish. She looks like Dante's Mom. And yet, somehow, SHE'S NOT DANTE'S MOM.
Further Ex: Arkham. The series makes it plainly evident (not even considering devil triggers!) that shape/appearance changing is no hard task, even for humans.

I found this through
WP:NPP. Restoring a redirect for newly created articles is a standard practice. I restored this redirect because there is not evidence of real world notability, as opposed to merely in-game notability, and information contained could be fully contained with-in the article this topic was being redirected to. I have for now left the page as unreviewed so another reviewer may make a decision. Best,
