The Boston Fern likes partial to full shade. It likes damp but not soggy soil. If humidity falls below 80%, then you should mist the plant. JLWJPW

Tuberous?

According to every source I know, this species does not have tubers on it's rhizomes. (For example, see the identification section in this University of Florida article.)
