I can't find the other pics I was wanting. I had 2 good pics of recent TWD trucks, but now I can't find them. bummer!!! JLG270121:45, 11 July 2008 (UTC)reply
Found them!!!! Here's the pix of the TWD trucks I'd like to use....
I asked on all 4 flickr contributors. Check out how I ask - very polite and no pressure. I usually look to see if a contributor was active on flickr lately because some people don't see the messages because they never go back. Royalbroil22:05, 13 July 2008 (UTC)reply
If by chance you get some or all of the pics, can you put them where I put the ones I got? I uploaded them to commons under Category:Tractor Pulling. Thanks!! JLG270121:36, 15 July 2008 (UTC)reply
Thanks for letting me know about the Commons category so I don't have to waste time looking for how to classify it. IMG 1287 is secured, and I'm sure that IMG 1262 will follow. I got a verbal agreement on the first and last pictures in the second group, but the flickr photographer needs to change the license to the exact license that he wants. What should these pictures be named, especially the 2 pictures that start with IMG? Royalbroil05:51, 16 July 2008 (UTC)reply
(Deindent) About the only time I NAME name a pic, is if the name of the vehicle is very prominant, or if it's one I happen to know about personally. Here's what I'd name them:
1262 - Red Minirod
1287 - Yellow Minirod
5715 - Yellow KW Puller
5716 - Flamed Pete Puller
Centerville..... - Red T-Bucket
Fergus..... - Dr Hook
TruckPull 08 - Red T-Bucket2
On #5715, I know the name of this truck...but I can't think of it off the top of my head. I think it's Madame Butterfly, or something along those lines. I'd know it if I wasn't looking at it.
Ah-Ha!!! I found it on NTPA's points page. The truck's name is "Lady Butterfly." You could name it "Lady Butterfly pulling". JLG270118:12, 16 July 2008 (UTC)reply
I added the first 2 pics. I'm glad you enjoy my flickr avatar! I just changed it to this Legends car with cool flames and a checkered victory flag. Royalbroil05:13, 18 July 2008 (UTC)reply
AS of right now, all that is needed on my
ITPA page is 2 of the pix that are listed here. I'm needing pix of a 2wd truck, and a semi, both of which are in the last 5 pics on the list. With those, I can basically call the editing done on both the ITPA, and the NTPA pages....I'll just have to find more references. If I can catch Steve Bollinger (driver of the Money Pit (see Image:Money Pits triple Allisons.jpg), and a former neighbor of mine), I might be able to borrow his rules books, and maybe a pulling magazine or 2. I've pretty much picked Flikr clean of By- and By-SA pix that have to do with pulling in the US. JLG270120:47, 18 July 2008 (UTC)reply
Odds are none of these pictures will be obtained. I would go ahead and publish the ITPA article, and I would be pleasantly surprised if we did get the pics. Great job on the articles! Royalbroil12:30, 20 July 2008 (UTC)reply
Thank-you! I really enjoy writing about things I am involved with. Unfortunately, it's hard sometimes to find references to back-up what I have lived. Hopefully, we can obtain the needed pix to finish the articles. Thanks for the help!!!! JLG270119:30, 20 July 2008 (UTC)reply
